The Nubian Rights Forum’s Radio Program Uhaki Radio Show broadcasts on Pamoja FM community radio  every Wednesday 10-11 AM and Saturdays 6-7 PM leverages the power of community media to address critical issues affecting marginalized groups. It broadcasts informative and interactive sessions on topics such as citizenship rights, health, and education. The program creates a platform for dialogue, enabling community members to voice their concerns and engage in discussions about social justice and equality. By using accessible and widely consumed radio channels, the program raises awareness, combats misinformation, and amplifies the voices of underrepresented groups. Its focus on inclusivity ensures that vital information reaches even the most isolated individuals, fostering collective understanding and community empowerment.

Strategic Objective:

To educate the community in Kibera on the effects of negative ethnicity and being used to perpetrate politically motivated violence.

Goals

  1. Empower the community on the importance of citizenship documentation
  2. Educate the community on the need for peaceful co-existence despite their ethnic diversity
  3. Promote healing of victims of post-election violence and re-integrating them back to the community.
  4. Educate the community on the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and other laws in the country.
